In the plan to save mankind from sin there is God's part and man's part.
On God's side is grace - compassion - and love.  On man's side is obedience.  God provides the plan:

Text Box: The plan of salvation is a thrilling subject.
It took obedience to this "plan" to save man on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2)
and the same plan will save man today.

Text Box: After hearing "faith" is produced (Romans 10:17).
Man must believe in God with all his being (John 8:24).
There must be repentance of past sins (Acts 17:30).
Then comes confession of Jesus as Lord (Matthew 10:32).
This is followed by baptism for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).
Intellects are changed by facts (Acts 2:22; John 8:24).
Hearts are changed by love (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).
Wills are changed by repentance (Acts 17:30; Luke 13:3).
Allegiance is changed by confession (1 John 4:15; Romans 10:9-10).
Relationships are changed by baptism (Galatians 3:26-27; Romans 6:3-5).
All this results in a change in citizenship (Colossians 1:3; Philippians 3:20)
This results in a change in name (1 John 3:1; Acts 11:26).
Last there is a change in destiny of
Those obedient to God and converted to Jesus Christ
(Matt. 24:46; Revelation 21:7)
